One group researched the conditions of the convicts ship. their presentation included information like:

• The shipmen treated the convicts cruely and with harsh punsihents.
• The convicts were kept below decks in cramped conditions.
• Many convicts died from illness and disease.
• There were strict routines every day.

Another group researched the european discovery of Australia, their presentation included information like:

• It was discoved in 1606 by Willem Jazoom.
• Australia was known as New Holland untill the 18th century.
• Australia was also discoved by the French and the Dutch.

Another group reseached the first penal colony of Australia, their presentation included information like:

• The first journey set sail on the 13th May from Portsmouth, the convicts were taken by Captian Arthur Phillip.
• 10% of convicts died on the journey.
• The convicts were each given different jobs when they got to Australia.
