Fat Sams Grand Slam
Physical skills
Strengths - I think that one of my strengths was that I was in time with the other dancers and the music, this was because we rehearsed this in the dance studio so we could see what each other was doing in the mirror. Because of these rehearsals our timing was good throughout the dance. Another one of my strengths was flow of movement, this meant that all of movements smoothly flowed from one to another, this looked good because it didn't look as if the dance was stopping and starting.
Weaknesses - I think that my weaknesses were extension, this is because in some parts of the dance we have to have our arms up, if my extension was better this would have looked better. This is because it would have been more exaggerated and over the top, like flapper girls were in the 1920s.
Interpretive skills
Strengths - I thought that I had a good energy level that the song needed. We rehearsed this before the performance by running through it a few times until we felt confident with it, this meant that we were able to act over the top in this dance. This was important because flapper girls were a main source of entertainment, this meant that we had to be quite exaggerated and in your face.
Weaknesses - Although I did use facial expressions that were an improvement on previous rehearsals they could have been better. This is because throughout I didn't really change m face, I was just constantly overly smiley to make it better I could have had more variety to make it more interesting to the audience.
