"Tomorrow" Dance
In todays leson i learnt the first part of the chorography for the dance that is in Fizzys solo "Tomorrow". My strengths in this were that i picked up some of the movements quickly, especially the first turn, developpe and the circular spring. This helped me as i was able to work through some parts of the choreograhy quickly, meaning that we were able to have more time to choreograph more at the end. Another one of my strengths was that my flexibility in my legs was good. This meant that i was able to extend some of my movements. Flexibily in dance is important because it allows to to extend your movements to their maximum potential.
On the other hand my weaknesses in this rehearsal was when we had to learn some basic tap dance moves. I found this extremly hard because i had never done tap dance before so it wasnt easy to pick up. I worked on this with the use of the mirrors to see what i was doing and to see which parts i needed to work on. Another on of my weaknesses was the placement of my arms, especially when doing the step-ball-changes.
Because of this my targets for the next rehearsal is to practise the tap part, so that i can do it as part of the choreography and the rest of the dance. Another one of my targets is to practise my arm placement of my arms in the rest of the movements. I am going to do this with the use of the mirrors, so i can see what it looks like and i can work on things that are not quite right so i can make them better for the next rehearsal.
