Monday 13th December 2015 - Budget Forms

This budget form shows the different income sources I am using for my theatre company. I estimated over three shows we will sell 110 full adult prices and 45 concession tickets, this will give a total revenue of £2985.00, as well as this I estimated around 45 programmes sold per night which will give a total revenue of £135.00. Programme printing will be a total of £50, therefore the net profit for the programmes will be £85.00. The contribution of £1000 is from my personal savings, this covers the payments for the technical rehearsals and final performances. The other income of £2000 is from a bank loan and will be paid back over 2 years at an interest rate of 14%, this is going towards marketing/publicity and set, props and lighting. This makes my total income £6120.00, this includes tickets, personal savings, programme sales and a bank loan.
This budget form shows the total costs for my theatre production tour including set, props and lighting, costumes and make-up etc. This also includes a 10% contingency which is in case anything goes wrong, it is 10% of the budget and acts as a safety buffer. Performance rights cost £235 for this production of Annie the Musical, I could have decided to tour a devised piece where I wouldn't have had to pay performance rights, however I decided to choose a well known musical. This has allowed me to spend less on marketing and publicity as people are already aware of the show and many people are already a fan of it. A devised play would require more marketing as people do not already know about it and therefore I would have to spend more money on advertising it enough to sell a substantial amount of tickets. The venues have come to a total cost of £1000 this included performances and technical rehearsals. All of these elements have come to a total of £2135.00, this taken away from the total revenue allows The Castle Company to make a profit of £3622.50 when touring Annie The Musical.
