Ordinary Fool/Im Feeling Fine
As me and Paige are double cast for Blousey we rehearsed Ordinary fool and Im feeling fine together. Firstly we sang at the same time, this was to make sure that we were familiar with the pitching and timing of the songs. After, we sang them one by one and then critiqued each other as to what was good and what we needed to work on. This was helpful so that we knew which areas needed the most attention during rehearsals. One of our targets was to work on characterisation, to do this we sang in front of the mirrors in the dance studio this was to see if we were using our facial expressions to fully act out the song rather than just sing it.
When singing Ordinary fool , my pitching was at first off, however i was able to correct myself. I need to work on this because i notice that i sometimes struggle with my pitching - especially when i am nervous. I am going to work on this by practicing with the piano and listening to the song to make sure i sing the correct notes.
