The Choreographic Process
- Choose a stimuli
- Carry out in depth research
- Improvisation and experimentation
- Select and refine movements ( Choose the best movements and check alignment in the mirrors, make sure timing is correct and get peer feedback)
- Create a motif (Movements put together that can be repeated and developed)
Manipulate movement material using choreographic devices (retrograde, fragmentation, accumulative cannon, embellishment, repetition) - Create a climax and consider the structure of your choreography (Ternary, binary, rondo or episodic/narrative)
